LEDGE: Alexander Costello: His & Her
13-19 October 2010

His & Her presented an unfolding narrative, displaying a new text each day.  These texts deal with the misinterpretation and manipulation of language or situation, and are drawn from a growing
library of material gathered by the artist from conversations had or overheard, and notes taken when observing the brusque contingencies of the everyday. Through the installation at LEDGE
these texts were placed back into the everyday experience of the passer-by

He walked as if betrayed by his legs, unable to sustain the pace of his own thoughts and ideas.

She ate her dinner the way she knew (how), with her mouth closed and her forefinger pressed over the back of her fork.

As they were landing she said to him "Gosh, aren't we really low".
